MakeUseOf describes itself as “the world’s leading destination for learning more about technology and the many ways that it can improve your life.” With more than 17 million monthly visits, 36 thousand articles and 400 thousand subscribers, MakeUseOf is beloved by its community for reporting ranging from the ultra nerdy to the most interesting aspects of mainstream technology, all with a genuine, well-reported point of view. In the last few weeks, we’ve especially loved The Best of Raspberry Pi Zero Projects so Far (the AirPlay Speaker!), 4 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Learning How to Code (required reading for San Francisco?), and of course an article that each of us feels was written just for us (ahem):  The Best Productivity App is One You Actually Use.

Not only does MakeUseOf cover a huge number of topics with engaging, original and truly interesting content, but the site itself is delightful in its organization and simple design. One example of this is the header, which clearly denotes the category each article falls into and allows for easy navigation to other such pieces. We especially love the custom icons, located next to the mobile-friendly menu dropdown.

Another great example of MakeUseOf’s best in class engagement is their daily wrap-up of technology news. Witty headlines, topical writing and eye catching imagery make this feature addictive and fun to read, even when scrolling back a few days. Here are a few of our favorite recent Tech News Digest features: Ban Hate Speech, Adopt an Emoji, Hail an Uber…, Twitter Wants To Be Facebook, Selfies Really Can Kill You…The Bestselling Games of 2015, Netflix Cracks Down on VPNs… (the photo really got us on the last one).

How could we not love a headline promising “if its not worth featuring, we wont feature it” – thank goodness someone in tech news has our backs!
