In this video, we provide you with a brief overview of the VigLink Publisher Dashboard. Check it out!
The default date range on the dashboard is always the last 30 days. However, this is easily customized by clicking on Custom Range and choosing a preset option or selecting a custom date range. To see the exact amount of revenue you earned for a given day, simply hover over the graph.
You can also filter the data in your dashboard by VigLink product. For example, if you only want to focus on convert traffic you can select that as your filter. Additionally, you can filter the data in your dashboard by campaign. Keep in mind that when you open your dashboard, it will automatically show you data aggregated from all campaigns. Many publishers have more than one campaign. For example, if you broke up your campaigns by Mobile App, Twitter, and Website as shown in the video you can sort by campaign to see how they are each individually performing. If you select more than one campaign at a time, the chart that is generated will display both and provide you with a comparative analysis.
Aside from just revenue, you can click on the tabs named “EPC”, “Affiliated Clicks” “Gross Sales” “CTR” and “Pageviews”. Once you’ve selected the filters you want, you can download the graph, print the chart, and/or generate a CSV.
If you continue to scroll down you’ll see the tab you chose above broken down even further. For example, if you’ve selected revenue when you scroll down you will see “revenue by”- merchants, links, pages, and merchandise.
- Merchants represent who you are sending traffic to and the amount of revenue you have earned by linking to them. You can see how many affiliated clicks you’ve sent to each merchant. In addition, you can see actions, EPC, and Revenue. An action is something that generated revenue, it can be a click if you’re linking to a merchant with a cost per click campaign or a purchase if you’re linking to a merchant with a cost per acquisition model.
- If you click on the “links” tab, the dashboard will generate a report of the outbound links from which you earned revenue.
- When you click pages it shows you the page of your site that has generated the most revenue. This is extremely beneficial to you as a publisher as it can help guide your content creation by giving you insight into what resonates best with your audience. Pages also show your RPM which stands for revenue per 1,000 impressions.
- If you look at merchandise, you can see the item that your reader purchased after leaving your site or app. Again, this is important because you can see which products are earning you the most money which should also help shape your content creation.
If you click on any of the other top level tabs, you will get a more detailed breakdown of the data. Please keep in mind, that you can also download all data in a csv file at the bottom right of the page.
“The VigLink dashboard assists our editorial team in planning content because it provides us with insights about the audience we would otherwise not have access to.”
