How to add VigLink in Google Tag Manager

As an alternative to installing VigLink into the head section of all of your pages, you can add VigLink as a tag in Google Tag Manager.

1 – Start by copying your code from the Install page.

2 – Add a new tag in Google Tag Manager of the type “Custom HTML”. You’ll need to make one small change to the code to ensure VigLink works properly. On the first line, change “var vglnk” to “var window.vglnk” to ensure that the vglnk variable is seen by the browser. Please note that the variable is spelled v-g-l-n-k.

3 – You may select the trigger that works best for your pages, or use the default “All Pages” trigger (recommended).

4 – Save the tag and submit your changes to go live. You’re all set!
