Understand The Click-to-Purchase Funnel With VigLink’s Transaction Reporting API

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve launched the VigLink Transaction Reporting API!

We know a top priority for our publishers is to better understand the entire click-to-purchase funnel. With this API, we’re now able to tie each click to:

  • Page URL (www.yoursite.com/bestphones2018)
  • Merchant
  • Revenue generated
  • Product(s) purchased, behavior once readers leave your site (iPhone 10, AirPod Headphones)

This Transaction Reporting API helps all publishers, from content to coupon and cash-back sites, reconcile their earnings with their clicks. It also allows publishers to attribute revenue to users by assigning a specific CUID or SubID to each outbound click from the Links API and then searching for those same fields in the Transaction Reporting API.

By identifying commercial products mentioned within a publisher’s content, VigLink automatically invigorates those terms by transforming them into revenue generating hyperlinks whose destinations are determined in real-time, advertiser-bid auctions.
