Product Launch: Trends Explorer!

‘Tis the season for holiday shopping and as trends go, mobile commerce sales are expected to increase by more than 43% by the end of 2016. As our publishers know, it’s critical to their digital brand to source incremental revenue opportunities beyond traditional display ads. Most of them do so by utilizing our core products Convert and Insert which enable publishers to effortlessly amplify their influence after publication.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce the release of our newest solution for publishers and merchants: Trends Explorer! Unlike our classic products, Trends Explorer empowers commerce editors with insights at authoring time.

VigLink aggregates data from a network of over 20B pages, deriving trends from reader interest in over 500M products.  Trends Explorer gives publishers access to insights from their own content in the “My Trends” tab, as well as trends across the 2M+ publisher network in the “Global Trends” tab. The rate at which a product is trending can be determined by the number of orange bars in the upper right-hand corner of the product image. It’s also updated every two hours, which means the recommendations are highly relevant.

If you’re a VigLink user, all you need to do is sign into your dashboard and click “trends” in the header. If you’re not a VigLink user, you can still access Global Trends by visiting www.viglink.com/trends/explorer/. To learn about the functionality of the Trends Explorer, click “start tour”.  In the tour, we review the ability to sort by date range, category, and keywords.

When you click on a trending product, the window will expand to give you more detail including full product name, product category, brand name, merchant (seller) name, and price. VigLink users will also be given the option to copy the image URL, copy an Anywhere (pre-affiliated) URL, as well as share the product to their Facebook and Twitter.
