Founder & CEO
Oliver brings over 15 years of software experience to VigLink. Previously, he was a Director at Microsoft in charge of product for various media properties including XBOX Live Video Marketplace, Zune Marketplace and MSN Entertainment. Oliver was also an early employee at Internet Radio pioneer Echo Networks and has worked for Paul Allen at Vulcan, for iPlayer at the BBC and for the Founders Fund. Oliver has issued and pending patents covering micro-transactions, media and metadata. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from MIT and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Vice President, Business Development
Josh joins VigLink with 15 years of editorial and commercial experience in digital media. He was most recently Vice President of Media and Business Development at Say Media, where he led a global team responsible for overall strategy, development and management of the publisher portfolio. Earlier in his career, he was a foreign correspondent at The Deal and Institutional Investor based in Washington DC, London and Hong Kong. Josh received an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
Vice President, Engineering
Alan joins VigLink with almost 10 years of experience delivering software specifically for Retail and Digital Marketing, and more than 20 years developing software. Prior to VigLink he was VP of Technology at Adchemy, where he led the development of their dynamic content and search engine marketing products, and VP of Engineering at DemandTec, where he ran their platform technology group. His other prior companies include Sybase, CrossWorlds, and Convergent Technologies. Alan has a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Columbia University in New York.
Vice President, Marketing
Oliver joins VigLink as a Google veteran. He started with Google in 2003 to focus on advertising sales before joining the global product marketing organization in 2005. As a Product Marketing Manager, Oliver led key projects across a broad range of B2B and B2C product areas including AdWords, the Google Display Network, Google Play and Google+. Prior to Google, he held marketing and sales positions with MP3.com and eMusic. Oliver graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson with a bachelor's degree in anthropology.
Senior Director of Product
Tom joins VigLink from Google, where he led product management for social media analytics within DoubleClick. He came to Google via its acquisition of social media marketing start-up, Wildfire. Prior to Google & Wildfire, Tom was Director of Product Management at Primal, a Canadian semantic technology start-up, where he led efforts to personalize the Web with interest data. His other prior companies include Sybase and Bell Canada. Tom has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
Senior Director of Operations
Will joins VigLink from Google where he led key operations and analytics projects for the UK office. His 2011 leave of absence from Google to pursue the Rugby World Cup earned him the affectionate nickname, 'the office linebacker'. Will cut his teeth leading direct sales and business development for IndustryNext, a software design and development startup. Interweaving an eclectic career in both business and academia, Will twice pursued professional sport. He trialed as a free-agent with the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots; he played professional rugby internationally for London Irish and the USA national rugby team. Will holds an AB cum laude in economics from Harvard University and an MPhil in economics and social history from University of Oxford.
